Uncharted Pages: SF/F From Macmillan's Adult Publishers!

When Talia told me that the brilliant minds at EarlyWord approached her about setting up a blog for Readers' Advisory librarians to learn more about the Science Fiction and Fantasy books coming out of Macmillan I whispered, "mine."

Finally! A place to highlight some of our fantastic fiction for the curious minded!

Each season I'll pick a few titles that I love and tell you a little bit about why I think they're so special. Uncharted Pages will cover a wide range of genres under the speculative fiction umbrella written for teens, adults, and immortals.

Ready to take a peek? Hop on your unicorn/magic carpet/transport zombie and head over to Uncharted Pages!

I contacted the author Joseph Finder to ask why his ebooks are not available through libraries. He was not sure why and forwarded me to MacMillan, the parent company of his publisher. I have purchased all of his books, is on his email list & have a bookplate from him. Getting friends to borrow a Kindle ebook from the library is a great way to get them interested in a new author! Is there a chance of Finder becoming a library ebook option? If I need to be directed elsewhere to have this question answered, please let me know. Thank you.

Greetings Mr. Coursey,

Thank you for your comment.

We are having discussions with librarians and with the American Library Association. We continue to look at various possible models for e-lending. We have not, at the moment, found a model we are ready to participate in, but are actively engaged in the process.
