Greetings, Librarians!

Introductions are in order. I'm Ali, Talia's new assistant and your Macmillan Library news bearer. It's a pleasure to reach so many exceptional book stewards all at once. I'd like to start by letting you in on a few of my favorite things.

Aside from raindrops, roses, and whiskers on kittens, my favorites are as follows: my all time favorite novel is One Hundred Years of Solitude, but at heart, I'm a real scifi junkie. My favorite library in the US is the Seattle Central Library. What can I say? I'm loyal to my hometown shelves. However, my favorite library on the planet is Strahov Monastery’s Theological Hall in Prague.

Prague.

Nothing beats this gape-worthy library on a hill with illuminated manuscripts and a cabinet of curiosities, for goodness' sake! The fact that they brew some amazing beers at the same monastery doesn't hurt.

That’s a little about me. I look forward to popping up in your inbox (and RSS feed!) until I get the chance to shake your hand.

yours, Ali
